Evacusafe UK Ltd. has just won the contract to supply their Evacuslider Rescue-sheets to Quantum Care, a leading provider of care homes for the elderly.
Quantum Care is a non-profit organisation which provides essential residential and dementia care to over 3000 older people, through their 36 care homes across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex.
Director of Evacusafe, Mr Tony Gill, said “Evacusafe is delighted to be chosen for this large contract, having been selected after demonstrations from a number of potential suppliers, we feel that Quantum has made the right choice as we are one of the leading manufacturers and trainers of evacuation equipment in the UK, and worldwide.
One of the main factors in the product selection process was the fact that we offer a range of Evacuslider Rescue-sheets with built-in adjustable features. This enables the best fit, safety and comfort for residents of any size and provides Quantum the best option in light of the physical and mental capabilities of residents in the event of an emergency, such as a fire”.
Initially Evacusafe will supply two rescue-sheets per home and fully certified training courses to ensure that all staff members are qualified to use the equipment, in line with Quantum’s people handling policies.
A rolling weekly training course session will be held at Jubilee Court Nursing home in Stevenage, which is their largest and one of the newest homes.
Phil Lancaster, who led the project for Quantum, said “Evacusafe provides fantastic customer service and worked closely with us to create a training program that fully complements the ethos of care within Quantum”.
